a year agoI am 2 weeks postoperative from a single masectomy and tissue expander was put in right after. I am having lots of muscle spssms in pectoral muscle and chest wall. Has anyone else experienced this and is it normal??

Muscle spasms in the chest area following mastectomy with tissue expander placement are commonly reported by many patients during the healing process. The surgical procedure involves significant changes to the chest muscles and surrounding tissues, which can lead to spasms as your body adjusts and heals. Many others in this community have shared similar experiences, so you're definitely not alone in dealing with this challenge during recovery.

6 months agoDouble mastectomy here. Those spasms are normal! Those “zingers” are from your nerves trying to regenerate. Mine lasted about 4 weeks.
