Muscle spasms in the chest area following mastectomy with tissue expander placement are commonly reported by many patients during the healing process. The surgical procedure involves significant changes to the chest muscles and surrounding tissues, which can lead to spasms as your body adjusts and heals. Many others in this community have shared similar experiences, so you're definitely not alone in dealing with this challenge during recovery.

Double mastectomy here. Those spasms are normal! Those “zingers” are from your nerves trying to regenerate. Mine lasted about 4 weeks.
