3 months agoHello! I was diagnosed with triple positive breast cancer in June. I am 50 years old. I had surgery in July. Lumpectomy. Margins were clear and lymph nodes were clear. I started weekly Taxol on 8/28. So, I have had 4 treatments(we had to skip this week because of an ear and sinus infection). I have just recently noticed more hair coming out when I wash it. I was trying to gauge if I should expect to keep losing it as I go or if I could be hopeful that I might not lose it all since I am a month in. Also, just curious if anyone has experienced feeling constantly off balance with taxol. I almost feel like I am drunk most of the time. I was hoping to try to work at least part time during treatments but I have not been able to so far.

Hair loss patterns with Taxol can vary from person to person - some experience gradual thinning while others may lose more, and the balance issues you're describing are commonly reported side effects that many patients experience during treatment. These symptoms can definitely impact daily activities and work plans, so discussing both concerns with your medical team will help them provide guidance on managing these effects and determining what's normal for your situation.

2 months agoI had tripple negative breast cancer in 2024. My hair was long and it started coming out. I had it cut real short but I never got bald. My feet and hands got numb from the Taxol. And still are. I was just real tired and had no appetite. I lost the taste in my mouth. It came back. All of this is just part 1 of my story. I am retired so I had all the time I needed to rest. Hopefully you won't get the other symptoms.

a month agoHi, I had Taxol about 5 months ago and had no energy to do anything. My hair came out,so I shaved the little bit that was left, no eyebrows, eye lashes, no hair no where. I didn’t go anyway but to my treatments and make home.I couldn’t work. I became depressed. I finished last chemo treatment the end of August.,still on the immunotherapy but stopped in September and will have a double mastectomy next week. What a life!!!!
