7 months agoHave heard that taking B12 shots can cause issues with your Chemotherapy?
Accepted Answer
This is such an important question to discuss with your oncology team, as medication interactions can vary greatly depending on the specific chemotherapy drugs and individual health factors. Many healthcare providers can provide guidance on vitamin supplementation during treatment and help ensure everything works together safely. Have others in the community had similar conversations with their doctors about B12 or other supplements during treatment?

6 months agoTina, I have Pernicious Anemia and have been on monthly injections for the past 7 years. I needed aggressively dosed weekly chemo, and yes, my B12 levels went very high on chemo, but my Oncologist said to continue them, as excess levels are excreted. B is a water soluble vitamin. I did have a lot of fatigue, some dizziness and nausea, rashes and other symptoms, but most was attributed to aggressive chemo regime. Oncologist will guide your needs and monitor blood levels carefully before all treatments. Best wishes. 🙏
