3 days agoWhen I got my lumpectomy a year ago, I got a reduction and lift done to my left breast at the same time so they would match. I am unsure if my insurance only covered that or if the expander and implant option was never given, or if I just wanted the tumors out ASAP, but I dont like my boobs at all now, and I am curious if anyone has ever gotten implants after a reduction.

3 days agoFeeling unhappy with how your breasts look after surgery is a common concern, and it makes sense to look into options for reconstruction or implants after a lumpectomy with a reduction and lift. Whether implants are possible after a reduction depends on many personal factors, so a board-certified plastic surgeon, ideally one who works with breast cancer patients, is the best person to explain what may be possible and how insurance might apply. It can help to write down questions before the visit, such as timing, options, and coverage. Others in this community may have gone through something similar, and sharing their experiences could be a good way to keep the conversation going.
