3 months agoI had two lymph nodes removed, for stage one cancer. Both were clear, however I seem to itch in that General vicinity. Is that something to be concerned about? Maybe I should say is anyone had this before or am I just itchy?

Itching around surgical sites is actually quite common during the healing process, and many people in this community have shared similar experiences after lymph node removal. The healing tissues and nerve regeneration can cause various sensations including itching. While this is often a normal part of recovery, it's always worth mentioning to your medical team during your next appointment to ensure everything is healing as expected and to get their perspective on your specific situation.

3 months agoI had 4 lymph nodes removed. 1 metastatic, 1 micrometastatic, 2 clear. I have not noticed any itching, but it could be your nerves "waking back up". I would check with your oncologist.

3 months agoHi Karrie, I have felt an itch that feels impossible to scratch. It's quite frustrating when I feel it, but it usually goes away after a while. I use Dove Hydration Boost body wash to help with dry/sensitive skin. It seems to help as I have not had that itchy feeling in months.

2 months agoHi everyone, I'm on Enhertu a form of Chemotherapy and target therapy. One of the side effects is itching and my oncologist said I should take an antihistamine. Since I first started my treatment I took Zyrtec and my body doesn't itch. Just try it out. Because antihistamines make me tired I take them at bedtime, and it works great 😃. Good luck to all of you 💪 strength, hope and faith 🙏💌

2 months agoI had major itching issues. Taking Zyrtec was a game changer. I wish my oncologist and team had mentioned that earlier, so I would have known what to do when itching became a noticeable and unbearable side effect. I also used Cerave anti itch lotion before I knew about Zyrtec. It helped some too.
