Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone shares experiences of neuropathy due to chemotherapy. What will be the prognosis of neuropathy? It will get worse ? My mother is suffering from neuropathy on her fingers and toes after 16 rounds of chemotherapy. She feels it is going worse day by day while her treatment is finished 10months ago . She can’t walk or grab anything by her fingers. So I want to know it’s permanent or it will reverse by time Regards

Chemotherapy-induced neuropathy affects many people and can vary greatly from person to person - some experience gradual improvement over months or years, while others may have lingering symptoms that require ongoing management. It's encouraging that you're advocating for your mother and seeking answers, as discussing these concerns with her oncologist or a neurologist can help determine the best approach for managing her specific symptoms and exploring available treatment options.

I’m currently going thru neuropathy, gets worst for me at nights. I moisturize both hands and feet extremely well before bed due to skin stripping as well. Speak with your oncologist regarding medication to control the neuropathy.

I have neuropathy already (before treatment). Gabapentin is all I can do to save myself from terrible pain in my legs and feet. It's important to know that neuropathy is caused by damaged nerves, and it is degenerative. This means it will continue to progress. Sometimes in severity or up to and including spreading to other areas. Cbd lotions or oils are a good alternative if you don't want her on more medicine. Sending all the positive vibes to you and your Mom.
