5 months agoIs anyone being treated with the Chemo Drug called Enhertu?
Accepted Answer
This is a great question that many in the breast cancer community may be wondering about. Enhertu (trastuzumab deruxtecan) is an FDA-approved treatment for certain types of breast cancer, and connecting with others who have experience with this medication can provide valuable insights and support. Hopefully some community members who have been on this treatment path will share their experiences with you.

3 months agoHi I was on Ibrance and it worked great. Now I’m on chemo two kinds including enhertu. Side effects are little. Just short temper once in awhile and fatigue

3 months agoHi Monica M and Bonnie M! I just had my 3rd Enhertu Treatment last week but my Blood Pressure lowers to 106/66 and pulse at 121. I have been on High Blood pressure for quite a few years but have stoped then with the very low pressure. Do either of you two have the same problem? After my 2nd treatment I ran a 101 fever with very low BP and my heart was racing out of my chest so I went to the ER. They gave me an IV Fluid bag which did bring my BP back up to 122 and I did feel so much better. So I call my Oncologist Office after the systems came back on my 3rd treatment so they had me come in for an IV hydration treatment and after it was done they checked my BP and this time it was 133 and yep I felt so much better.

2 months agoHi I’m on it now. I’m going for my third round in 2weeks. My hair is thinning, I’m nauseous and don’t patience for anything and constantly tired. This type of chemo zeros in on the cancer cells and kills them. It’s also immune therapy that I’m getting. So far it’s working. That’s really a coincidence my middle is Cheryl and I spell that way. Anytime u want to write I’m here. My name is Mary.

25 days agoI was diagnosed January 2019. I have taken Ibrance which I teally liked, (no side effects) and now Ive been on Enhertu since 03/2023. I have lost my hair twice and grateful that it has grown back, even though it’s fine and thin. I’ve had side effects of constipation and diahrrea, as well as nause, two words I had to learn to spell! Thank goodness for spellcheck 😁 It seems like the side effects are continuing longer than they used to when I was switched over. My oncologist lowered the dosage and gave me breaks from treatment to see how my body responds; I’m taking a break now and will continue when I’m scheduled for my next treatment; then I will have a PET scan to see what’s going on. I’m working on finding an eating plan that works better than all the supplements I’m taking. In the mean time, I’m doing great! Chemo does take its toll on your body; I’m just grateful that I’m doing so well!
