a year agoI am Pr and Er positive with invasive ductal and lobular carcinoma. They found it in my right breast again and also my sentinel node under my armpit. Waiting for my Oncotype score to come back to see if I need chemo along with my radiation. I had chemo last ear into beginning of this year and the hot flashes were almost unbearable. Does anyone know better ways to manage them? The only drugs I've seen are ones that I cannot have because I have to be on hormone blockers. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hot flashes during cancer treatment can be incredibly challenging, and there are several non-hormonal approaches that many patients find helpful. Cooling techniques like layered clothing, fans, and cooling towels can provide immediate relief, while lifestyle adjustments such as avoiding triggers like spicy foods, caffeine, and stress may help reduce frequency and intensity. Some patients also benefit from relaxation techniques, acupuncture, or discussing non-hormonal medications with their care team that are compatible with hormone blockers. Hopefully others in this community will share what has worked best for them during treatment.

6 months agoTry Relizen by Bonifide. Was it determined which cancer returned, ductal or lobular? So sorry you’re facing treatments again, best of luck
