Breast pain 6 mo post radiation. Does it get better? Or worse? I massage regularly and my skin feels normal, but wearing a bra all day causes pain.

Post-radiation breast discomfort can improve gradually over time as tissues continue to heal, though the timeline varies for each person. Many patients find relief through gentle massage and adjusting their daily routines, and discussing specific comfort strategies with your care team can help you find the best approach for your healing journey.

I am a little over a year post radiation. I get pain with underwire bras and if i bump the “right” spot. Not terrible. Surgeon said it cd be from radiation. Will ask the radiation onc in june when i go.

I was blessed to get hyperbaric oxygen treatments for my breat tissue problems after the radiation. Amazing, and I feel so much better.

1.5 years post breast cancer mastectomy and implant. Pain daily also like a burning. Bra irritates it too. Dr. Says just part of healing. Ugh really

K B Don’t wear a underwire bra! I was told this years ago, I wear a soft bra when I go out, and no bra at home! Use Aloe for healing, not cream 🩷
