a year agoHi. I am on palbocilib for a year and half, it did control my markers. But it lower my rbc count too much, and my doctor put me on epo injections, which elevated the bloid count, but morphology and othe aspects of rbcs are terrible.Recently I took a genetic test and i am diagnosed with chek2 pathologic mutation positive. Now, question is that may olparib help me or changing palbociclib with abemaciclib is better for my anemia?

Treatment decisions around medication switches are really complex and depend on so many individual factors that only your medical team can fully evaluate. It sounds like you're dealing with some challenging side effects while also processing new genetic information, which can feel overwhelming. Many people in this community have navigated similar treatment crossroads and found it helpful to prepare detailed questions for their oncologist about the pros and cons of different options based on their specific situation and test results.
