2 years agoNew by here! What exactly is Red Devil? Can it be avoided? Are there alternatives to it?
Accepted Answer
Red Devil is a nickname for the chemotherapy drug doxorubicin, which gets its name from its bright red color and potential for serious side effects. While treatment plans are highly individualized based on specific cancer types and stages, it's completely natural to have questions and concerns about any prescribed treatments - discussing all options, alternatives, and your specific situation with your oncology team will help you understand what's best for your unique case and give you the confidence to move forward with your care plan.

7 months agoRed devil is adriamycin usually paired with cytoxan. I don’t know if I have spelled it correctly. Also, you should discuss other options with your oncologist but if that is their recommendation, it’s bc your type of cancer requires that standard of care. Speak with your team.

7 months agoI found the side effects from the red devil to be far less severe than anything I had read. I took the anti nausea medicine before I got I got sick. Hair loss and fatigue was my biggest complaint! Everyone is different!
