Recovery timelines vary for everyone, but many people find that the most challenging days are typically within the first week after treatment, with gradual improvement in weeks two and three before the next cycle. The fatigue and side effects from these medications can be tough, especially after that first treatment when everything feels new and uncertain. Consider reaching out to your care team about managing any specific symptoms you're experiencing - they often have helpful strategies to make the recovery period more comfortable.

6 months agoWell keep in mind that chemo is cumulative. So it may not be until after you’re done. I did nearly 20 months of treatment. My last one was April 2024. I’m still waiting to feel better. You got this!!

6 months agoHope you are feeling better Donna. I started first chemo on 9/20 and didn't feel back to normal until 10/1. I also didn't have hydration infusions in the days after chemo (wasn't in my instructions😬) I'm hoping they will make the difference speeding up the recovery on round two. The bone ache and listlessness were the worst.
