Has Anyone Experienced Oncoplasty Surgery?

Yes….last August. Diagnosed w ILC Stage 1 in right breast,no nodes. 2 small tumors less than 2cm each w 9 branches so large lumpectomy and rebuild at same time w my own ‘fat’. Small breasts. The surgery was quite easy and followed w 30 days radiation; no chemo. My oncoset was 9. I am choosing not to take a hormone blocker due to risk of osteoporosis and quality of life; low risk of recurrence & I am 74.

Same age as me… cancer same as mine. 2.3cm tumor along with another very small one. My oncologist here claims there is no such thing as a fat transfer to the breast. Mine is very slow growing. Oncologist says my cancer is not that bad that he would not place me on a Kisquali med after surgery. yet all they talk about is a masectomy. Makes me wonder why they can not just be honest that they do not do this type of surgery & help guide me to a qualified place. I am concerned about my Letrozole depleting my bone health. The doctor never talks about it. May I ask where your surgery was done?
