6 months agoI got diagnosed with HER2+ and I have yet to go over treatment plans, any advice on what to expect in the conversation I'm about to have with my oncologist?

Preparing for this conversation with your oncologist is a great step, and it's completely normal to feel uncertain about what lies ahead. HER2+ treatment discussions typically cover targeted therapies, chemotherapy options, treatment timelines, and potential side effects, so writing down questions beforehand can help you make the most of your appointment. The community here has been through similar conversations and can offer valuable insights about their experiences navigating treatment planning.

6 months agoHi Brandie, my advice is to listen to what they have to say first, but to do your own research before deciding on your treatment. You can also Google what questions to ask after receiving a diagnosis. I also recorded the appointments on my phone because there is a lot of info that gets discussed and it can be overwhelming to remember everything that is said.
