Has Anyone Had a Mammogram Soon After Radiation?

I was dx’d with stage1, IDC, ER, HER2+. Had surgery, chemo & radiation. At my latest follow up, my surgeon said I should have had a mammogram before radiation or at 6 mos. (It was missed because her office pushed back my appointment). She wants me to schedule it for June, but I will only be 2 mos. after radiation. Has anyone else had a mammogram that close to radiation?

Getting a mammogram so soon after radiation can understandably feel concerning, and it's completely natural to have questions about the timing. Many patients in this community have shared similar experiences with scheduling challenges and timing concerns around imaging after treatment. Consider discussing your specific situation and any concerns about the 2-month timeframe with both your surgeon and radiation oncologist to ensure this timing is appropriate for your individual case.

My radiation oncologist just told me Friday that it happens at 6 months from last day of treatment. He’s the one that communicates with my other dr to trigger them to schedule it.
