2 years agoJust had my first round of chemo yesterday. So far, so good. My anxiety is bad, and there are no side effects just yet. What does it feel when the side effects come?😌😔
Accepted Answer
Side effects can vary greatly from person to person - some experience fatigue, nausea, or changes in appetite within a few days, while others might notice different effects or have milder experiences altogether. The anxiety you're feeling is completely understandable, and many community members find it helpful to share their experiences and coping strategies as you navigate this journey together.

6 months agoDepends on chemo. I’m doing red devil now and the first week isn’t great. I’ve done 3 rounds and one left. I hope it’s working. Tired, bathroom problems ugh. Not hungry.

6 months agoDoes hydration help with the side effects? I’m going to start with AC in three weeks and I have found that staying hydrated helps me with the chemo that I am getting now. It seems to “flush” out the chemo. Taxol, carboplatin and ketruda. I will be taking Ketruda with the AC meds. Every three weeks.

6 months agoI’m on my first round (7 days after) of AC “red devil”. The first couple of days, I was a little tired (slept most of the day on day 3). Been feeling pretty good the rest of the time. I believe that hydration has definitely helped. I only saw red urine once immediately after the treatment, and am making sure I’m eating several small meals of fruits and veg and rice throughout the day and taking walks. The ondansetron anti nausea med has really made it easier. My doc said to take Claritin for bone aches and it really does work. He said they’re not sure why, but I’m all about anything that helps.

6 months agoHey Robin 👋 I'm doing well 😊. The only side effect I had was fatigue, and that was for about a week. I lost my taste, but it's coming back. I drank lots of water, orange juice and ate fruit, yogurt, and applesauce. Three more treatments to go. Next one 6/21.
