Can I wear nail polish during radiation treatment?

3 days agoRadiation and nail polish....I had read that the two do not mix. However, my radiation oncologist said no problems! This was surprisingly good news to me. In other questions: does anyone have a strong preference for cetaphil vs ceravee vs aquafor for breast radiation moisturizing? And, isn't there some bio oil developed in France but now available here? TIA

For moisturizers during breast radiation, many people in the community have shared experiences with the products you mentioned, and some have also discussed bio oils, so hopefully others will chime in with their preferences and what worked best for their skin during treatment.

7 hours agoAquafor was too sticky for me. Didn’t absorb into the skin as well. There’s a lotion on Amazon specifically for radiation treatments, works well. You can get everything on Amazon for mastectomy care!

6 hours agoI was not warned against nail polish when getting radiation. I used Aquaphor and cereve religiously and had minimal problems.
