a month agoRadiation and nail polish....I had read that the two do not mix. However, my radiation oncologist said no problems! This was surprisingly good news to me. In other questions: does anyone have a strong preference for cetaphil vs ceravee vs aquafor for breast radiation moisturizing? And, isn't there some bio oil developed in France but now available here? TIA

a month agoIt's wonderful that your radiation oncologist cleared you to wear nail polish during treatment - that kind of good news can really brighten the day! For moisturizers during breast radiation, many people in the community have shared experiences with the products you mentioned, and some have also discussed bio oils, so hopefully others will chime in with their preferences and what worked best for their skin during treatment.

24 days agoAquafor was too sticky for me. Didn’t absorb into the skin as well. There’s a lotion on Amazon specifically for radiation treatments, works well. You can get everything on Amazon for mastectomy care!

24 days agoI was not warned against nail polish when getting radiation. I used Aquaphor and cereve religiously and had minimal problems.

9 days agoI’m using Derma Vitality lotion for radiation. It was developed by an oncologist specifically ally for radiation treatments. There is a separate cream for chemo patients. I’m 3 treatments in and so far so good.
