a year agoI had a lumpectomy in September for a 1.1 cm Invasive Lobular Carcinoma tumor. One of 3 lymph nodes was positive. I am Stage II A. My oncotype score was a 6 which is 2% recurrence score and my PET was clear. However, I’m 51 and not postmenopausal. My oncologist is recommending that I do 4 rounds of chemo to decrease my odds of distal recurrence by 5%. I know that sounds like low numbers but treating aggressively now to cure versus possible recurrence and that’s treatable anyone else ILC with any input?

This is such a difficult decision to navigate, especially when weighing the benefits of treatment against potential side effects. Many patients with similar diagnoses face this same challenging choice between different treatment approaches. 6 months agoYes, I have ILC, Stage llB 1 out of 2 Lymph Nodes positive and waiting on Onco score. Ki-67 was below 4 so thinking onco below 25 and no chemo. I am concerned about future spread and wondering if a few rounds of chemo could kill what can not be seen. Right now 5 weeks daily Rads. Where are you getting treated? Lobular is not as studied as Ductal.

6 months agoI’m being treated at Baptist Health. I know that there’s little treatment information specifically for ILC and it doesn’t always respond well to chemo. That’s what concerns me so much.
