a month agoI have been on Anastrozole and verzenio for several months now. The verzenio is extremely hard to predict. Sometimes it’s diahreah and then constipation. Upset stomach constantly and indigestion. I am really tired of this roller coaster ride and am about to talk to the oncologist about it all. Is there anyone out there on verzenio and what has been your experience. I take 100mg of verzenio twice a day. Appreciate your feedback.

a month agoMany patients on Verzenio experience similar digestive challenges, and the unpredictable nature of these side effects can be particularly frustrating. Discussing these symptoms with your oncologist is definitely the right approach, as they may be able to suggest management strategies or dosage adjustments that could help improve your quality of life while maintaining your treatment effectiveness.

a month agoI totally agree with talking to your oncologist about this - those unpredictable digestive issues with Verzenio are so exhausting, and you might also want to ask about anti-diarrheal or other supportive medications that could help smooth out some of those ups and downs.

a month agoI completely agree that talking to your oncologist is the right move - and maybe ask them about taking it with food or specific timing changes, since I've heard that can sometimes help with the unpredictable digestive issues. If I start to feel “crampy”, I take an anti-diarrhea pill and I change my food to the brat diet (banana, rice, apple, toast). That usually helps. But I also stay close to a restroom. I have PRN’s prescribed for nausea and thankfully have only used them once. I am also on 100mg 2 times daily and am just starting my 4th month.

20 days agoI am on Verzenio too - 150 mg. I was on Kisqali previously and had no GI issues, but Verzenio is a completely different experience. I never know when an "attack" is about to hit, which is quite frustrating. I cannot predict what foods are going to trigger me, what time of day it'll hit me, and things have not slowed down for me on Month 3. I'm going on an international trip in May and my oncologist told me that it would be okay to skip a week of Verzenio while there. (I was so concerned that I wouldn't be able eat/sight see constantly worried about locating a nearby restroom). I'm going to try to stay on my current dose until my next scan. If my current dosage of Verzenio hasn't reduced or eliminated where I'm currently lit up (spine, scapula), I'm going to ask for a reduction. On the other hand, if I get back into NED status as a result of Verzenio, I figure all these trips to the restroom will be worth it....
