10 months agoI believe that I was given to much radiation. I had no idea that my breast tissue would be destroyed. If the doctors had told me this I would have never agreed to have any radiation. The surgeon and oncologist knew that I wanted reconstructive surgery. I am very disappointed. That is why I opted to have my Mastectomy at the University of Miami. Not Memorial Hospital

Radiation side effects can sometimes be more extensive than expected, and it's completely understandable to feel disappointed when outcomes don't match what was anticipated. Many patients in this community have faced similar challenges with treatment decisions and unexpected results. Consider discussing these concerns with your current care team about options moving forward - they may have insights about reconstructive possibilities or other supportive measures that could help address your situation.
