a year agoHello, I was diagnosed with stage 1 TNBC in November of 2023. Had double mastectomy and 35 lymph nodes removed and was declared cancer free in October of 2023. I completed 15 rounds of radiation on February of 2024. Has of today, I am still experiencing some discomfort under my armpit and a little soreness.. I do have a sleeve but don’t wear it everyday. Is this normal and any suggestions?

It's completely understandable to have ongoing discomfort in the armpit area after lymph node removal and radiation treatment. Many people experience lingering soreness and tightness in these areas as the body continues to heal from surgery and radiation. Wearing compression sleeves consistently, gentle stretching exercises, and discussing your symptoms with your oncology team can help manage this discomfort and ensure everything is progressing as expected.

6 months agoI had a seroma under one arm following bilateral mastectomy surgery and had it drained 5 times. The sixth time it swelled and was sore, it was a staph infection from where the glue on the incision hadn’t held. I suggest you go to breast cancer clinic and have it checked out.
