4 months agoIs anyone taking Letrozole every other day ? My joints knees hips are in pain and so sore.
Accepted Answer
Managing side effects from hormone therapy can be really challenging, and joint pain is unfortunately a common experience that many people in this community face. It's definitely worth having a conversation with your oncology team about dosing adjustments, as they can help determine what modifications might be safe and effective for your specific situation while maintaining the treatment benefits you need.

4 months agoI take Leterzole every day, 2.5 i’ve been on it for about a year I’m 68 years old and I feel like I’m 100 I think it’s worse getting up out of bed or getting up out off the couch. I walk on a daily basis and after my walk, I feel fine. I don’t know what does something to your joints if you stay still for too long

4 months agoYes. I did take Leterzole for six years. With all the side effects of joint pain, fatigue. After six years, doctor stopped it and six mths later it became MBC. Now taking Fevestrant injection monthly and Ibrance. Tolerating well - however, I would trade a dose of Letrozole daily , then deal with current meds. Hope this helps. God’s blessings.

3 months agoI’m 73 and I’ve taken Letrozole daily for 2 months now. Some days are good and some days I have joint pain. I’m hoping the side effects get better in time because this is a 5 yr plan. I also weigh the risks with the benefit of this drug. Think about it a lot.

3 months agoI’ve been on Letrozole 2.5 for 2 and a half years, I have paused it a couple of times. Joint pains in fingers are horrible, had cortisone shots in both hands a year ago. This has worn off. Have had overactive bladder a year now. Was on Verzenio for a year and a half. I stopped taking them, side effects were unbearable. Still getting hot flashes, which is tolerable. Having my annual mammogram in November. Hang in there ladies, try to keep busy as much as possible. I try not to give this any life but thank God I am alive.

2 months agoI have been taking Letrozole 2.5mg for 5 years. I have MBC stage 4. I know I will be on it for life or until I mutate and it no longer works. Currently I am no evidence detected of cancer through PET scans every 3 months. I have been having acupuncture 1-2 times per week and it is really helping with sore joints, neuropathy, and fatigue. It took a couple of months for it to slowly to start working. Highly recommend. It can be expensive but a lot of cancer institutes get grants from the federal government and they only charge for needles. It doesn’t matter what your income is high or low. You look for Intergrated Medicine.

2 months agoDoes anybody feel heart flutters from being on Letrozole? I just started feeling them. I know my heart is in good shape because I had an echo stress test last year so I’m kind of associated this with the medication. Has anybody heard of this?
