a year agoHow many? How frequent?& what scans does one need after they have been in remission to check ?
Accepted Answer
Cancer surveillance schedules vary significantly depending on factors like cancer type, stage, treatment received, and individual risk factors. Many patients in remission typically have follow-up appointments every 3-6 months initially, with imaging frequency determined by their oncology team based on their specific situation. This is such an important question that many in the community share - connecting with others here who've navigated similar follow-up care might provide helpful insights about what to expect during the monitoring phase.

9 months agoIt depends on what stage and cancer type you had or are considered high risk of cancer recurring.. If high risk, you should have yearly mammograms and MRI. 6 monthly CT scans of chest abdomen and pelvis and yearly Dexa scans. Ask your oncologist
