My mom has invasive breast cancer (ER+, PR–, HER2–, Ki-67 = 60%). She had a mastectomy removal of breast and is now undergoing 8 cycles of chemotherapy, One lymph node was positive so and now 1st chemo done.. I’m confused—what happens after chemo? I know radiation therapy will happen after that? What should we expect next? Because my mom have Cysts beginin lump near ovary i think so is that any problematic? Please help.

It's completely understandable to feel confused about the treatment timeline - breast cancer treatment often involves multiple steps that can feel overwhelming. After chemotherapy is completed, the oncology team will typically discuss the next phase of treatment, which may include radiation therapy as mentioned, and they'll also address any concerns about other health issues that have come up. The medical team is the best source for creating a personalized treatment plan that considers all aspects of health. Many people in this community have navigated similar treatment journeys and understand how important it is to have clear communication with the care team about what to expect next.
