3 years agoI’m on Taxol for 12 weeks, but with Herceptin added in since I'm Her2+. 4 treatments in and the only side effects are no taste buds, maybe some achy joints, and mild diarrhea. Will it get worse?
Accepted Answer
Side effects from cancer treatments can vary greatly from person to person, and it's encouraging that you're managing well so far with relatively mild symptoms. Many people in this community have shared their experiences with these treatments, so connecting with others who've been through similar journeys might provide helpful insights and support as you continue your treatment plan.

6 months agoIEveryone is different but effects from chemo are cummulative so it will likely get a bit worse. But then when you finish with the chemo part and just have Herceptin it gets better fast. Take care!

6 months agoHow are you feeling? I have the same treatment plan & am about a month ahead of you it looks like. The cumulative didn’t hit me until 9/12 treatments. Then it got gnarly. But I made it! The 3 weeks post chemo were hard too. I was so tired, chemo burned me big time interestingly, and I had all of the mental/emotional junk to deal with. But I’m so much better. Healing. Feeling more like myself. Exercising. More energy. I hope the same is true for you too! 💜

6 months agoKira, hope this finds you doing well. My taste buds are bad! Nothing taste good or right. Tongue feels numb kinda burning. Have last chemo this week, 12 weeks of Carboplatin and Taxol. Did yours go away soon after your treatments? Praying for me also!!!!
