Hey Bev! I hope you are tolerating the treatments well. I was diagnosed with Stage 3 TNBC in Dec 2019. In Jan 2020 I began a chemotherapy regimen of ACT (Adriamycin, Cytoxan, and Taxol). In June I had a lumpectomy and followed that with radiation. On top of all that was the ever present danger of the Covid-19 pandemic. I’m blessed to say that I had a pathologic complete response. That means there was no evidence of cancer in tissue samples obtained after treatment. I’m now 5 years out and just got kicked out of the ole “oncology follow-up” nest. Stay the course, ask questions, connect with people, and take care of yourself!

Hi Bev, I just had my first TC treatment yesterday 8/14/25. So far so good. My cancer was hr+/pr+ her2-, so there is a difference there.

Well after my first chemotherapy on July 2 less than a few days later ended up with a high ( 103.9) fever. In the ER then hospital stay for a week. Septics and an infection. In the hospital a ct scan found another suspicious area on my groin area. Surgery was a week ago. I’ll learn the results on Tuesday when I meet with my surgeon. On Wednesday will meet with my Onchologist to set a plan in place to resume or change the chemotherapy recipe. Thank u for responding! I’m nervous about starting chemo again!
