I was diagnosed with stage 1 her2 + breast cancer . Left side. I have had 6 rounds of chemo with phesgo injections every 3 weeks. I've had a lumpectomy where the cancer was found to be gone with no cancer in the lymph nodes. I am still getting phesgo every 3 weeks and will for a year. I have breast implants and am scheduled for radiation to that breast. My surgeon wants to put me on singular so the implant won't get hard ir break but this drug has a black box warning of suicidal thoughts, aggression, depression, nightmares and more. I don't know what to do. I'm thinking about not doing radiation. Has anyone had this same thing happen to them?

This is such a challenging decision to navigate, and it's completely understandable to feel torn about weighing the benefits of radiation against potential medication side effects and implant complications. Many people in this community have faced similar crossroads with treatment decisions involving implants and radiation. Each person's situation is unique, so connecting with others who've been through comparable experiences might help provide different perspectives as you work through this decision with your medical team.
