I can honestly say it has taken me a year or more to even understand my diagnosis.

Taking time to fully understand a cancer diagnosis is completely normal and shows real strength in your commitment to learning about your health. The journey of processing medical information can feel overwhelming, especially with everything else happening during treatment. Many patients find that their understanding deepens gradually as they have more conversations with their care team and connect with others who share similar experiences.

Me too! It's so complicated and scary. Praying none of us has to deal with this cancer ever again.

Brenda, I still get some pains occasionally after double mastectomy (9yrs out) mine are caused by remaining surgical clips. Also can get a weird cramping sensation which is due to mild capsular contracture When I over use my deltoids. (Like bending down to tie my shoe at a weird angle or trying to open a jar). I take a capsule of a chelated magnesium complex (Vitalitown) and think it helps. (Available on Amazon)

Have you talked to your surgeon or oncologist about your pain? If they’ve brushed you off, turn up your volume. Things like NSAIDS can help for short term, but there are other options for long term pain management like gabapentin. Your pain is real, and should be addressed.
