2 years agoI have TNBC. After 9 treatments my tumor has grown. Saw my surgeon today and she gave me 3 options. Lumpectomy, bilateral mastectomy or left breast where cancer is. They will be taking out lymph node. I’m 72. She gave me percentages but it’s a tough decision. I’m ok with left breast mastectomy but scared to have both removed. Any advice would help. My cancer showed up November 2023

6 months agoYour preference is very important. If you have a left breast mastectomy with reconstruction, you will have a fairly fast recovery time. I had a flap reconstruction and I am happy with the natural looking results. I wanted to have reconstruction for emotional reasons.
