I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012, had a mastectomy. I was recently diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer I am taking ibrance for 21 days I have 4 more days left and then I am off for a week. I just continue with letrozole. I have so much pain in my chest. I take Tramadol for the pain. Can anyone tell me if this is normal? My cancer has spread to my bone, liver, breast same one that I had the mastectomy on and lung. The lesions are in small clusters. I went for a checkup last week at MD Anderson. My red and white blood count are really low. They won’t be able to tell me whether the treatment is working for at least 3 months. I was just so hopeful that they would be able to tell me the medication was working M

Chest pain during advanced breast cancer treatment can have various causes and is definitely worth discussing with your medical team at your next appointment. The combination of treatments you're receiving, along with the cancer's spread, can contribute to different types of discomfort that many patients experience. While waiting for those important three-month results can feel overwhelming, connecting with others in this community who understand the journey of stage IV treatment might provide some comfort and shared experiences during this challenging time.

I was dx de-novo & was started on Ibrance & Letrozole. I was on them for almost 2 years before met activity showed up on my left shoulder. I'm going to be finishing my 2nd month on Kisqali & Faslodex. The Ibrance did a great job in shrinking my tumors & I felt good for over a year. My only complaint was the joint ache from the Letrozole.
