It’s open enrollment time. Does anyone care to suggest the best insurance when it comes to Cancer? My insurance plan has been great, but will not be available to me next year. Just curious it’s something I need to decide soon and with the economy today it’s concerning.

Finding the right health insurance during cancer treatment can feel overwhelming, especially when your current plan won't be available next year. When comparing options during open enrollment, consider looking at factors like coverage for oncology specialists, prescription drug benefits, hospital networks that include cancer centers, and out-of-pocket maximums. Many community members have navigated similar insurance transitions and may have valuable insights to share about what worked best for their specific situations.

If you mean medicare supplement plans “G” plans offer the most comprehensive coverage. I’ve heard “N” plans are next best.

KB I had an for a couple of years and it was excellent last year. I was talked into changing and would you believe it in March? I got BC now I am looking to either change back or find another one as my out-of-pocket has been horrendous this year.

You had an N plan? I heard they r good. I switched to medicare and a G plann while i was still working because employer insurance covered so little. So my diagnosis came when i was on medicare and i am so grateful.

Good Question I will have that same problem. FB but rates and deductibles are sky high. Don’t know what I will do.

I work as an independent contractor, and so must buy my own insurance. I will have bc/bs gold hmo beginning 1/1, but to the tune of ~ $ 1800 per month.

That’s more than I can afford for sure.
