What imaging do you do after partial mastectomy? Radiology wants mammogram and also an MRI to see areas that were benign biopsies 9 months ago that were seen in MRI only. Breast surgeon does not agree with Radiology. I have dense breasts . Cancer was seen on mammogram

Having different opinions between your radiology and surgical teams can feel confusing when you're trying to make the best decisions for your follow-up care. Post-mastectomy imaging plans often depend on individual factors like breast density, surgical margins, and previous biopsy sites, so it's completely understandable that specialists might have different perspectives on what's most appropriate for your situation. Consider asking both teams to explain their reasoning and perhaps requesting they communicate directly with each other to reach a coordinated plan that addresses everyone's concerns while prioritizing your specific needs.
