Why am I getting diverticulitis during chemo?

I have not had chemo for my DCIS but am on aromatase inhibitors. I also have a pre existing history of diverticulitis. My GI doc recommended I use miralax (I use a generic) daily. It has helped reduce the frequency of my episodes. I recommend you see a GI specialist and discuss prevention options with them. Make sure they know if your chemo regimen.
