a year agoHi all. I was diagnosed with metastatic invasive ductile carcinoma. I have had a lumpectomy and one 30 days of radiation as treatment . I have been on 2 different medications for hormones and it wasn’t good at all . Now I’m supposed to try Exemestane 25 mg . Has anyone been on this med. how was your reaction to it. I don’t know what to do.

This journey with hormone therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when previous medications haven't worked well. Many community members have shared experiences with Exemestane and similar treatments, so posting here is a great way to connect with others who truly understand what this decision feels like. Talking with your medical team about your concerns and past reactions can help guide the best path forward for your specific situation.

6 months agoHi! I am on Exemestane 25mg. It makes me nauseous. I was also prescribed an anti nausea medication but I haven't felt bad enough to take it.

6 months agoDoes anyone have triple negative, stage 1, lumpectomy, nodes and radiation. I got 2 opinions from 2 different Oncologists. One said you’re good. No need to take the pill. The other one said take the pill for 5 years. I’m so confused! Help!

6 months agoSusan A, I don’t understand why you would be taking an estrogen blocker if your cancer is triple negative. That means your cancer is not driven by hormones or HER2 protein. I’d definitely ask my oncologist why.

6 months agoThere is a recent peer-reviewed study showing that examestane 25mg three times a week is as effective as 25mg daily. Benefit is that it lessons side effects, which may help people stick with it. Maybe as your oncologist about that?
