5 months agoI was diagnosed in March, had my Port surgery 4/24 & first FolFox treatment 4/30. I made it through 5 treatments before having to skip a week to get my WBC back up. I finished the 6th with my pump disconnect today. I am set to finish the last two treatments, have a scan and then move to 30 rounds of radiation, 5 days per week for 6 weeks. Then I may be a candidate for surgery.

Thank you for sharing your treatment journey with the community. Going through six rounds of FolFox chemotherapy while managing side effects like low white blood cell counts shows real strength, and it's completely normal to need adjustments along the way. Many patients find it helpful to connect with others who are navigating similar treatment paths - your experience could provide valuable support to fellow community members who are just starting their own colorectal cancer treatment journey.

4 months agoFolfox worked well for me. All except for the part where anything cold feels like pins and needles. My immune system went way down but at least so far, I'm cancer free. I do from time to time have squamous cell carcinoma removed. Just so long as it doesn't progress to melanoma.
