Has anyone on here had lymphatic treatments for edema? I am thinking of having it done but wondered about its effectiveness. TY

Lymphatic massage can be a helpful option for managing cancer-related swelling, and many people in similar situations have found it beneficial as part of their overall care plan. It's great that you're exploring different approaches - connecting with others here who may have experience with lymphatic treatments could provide valuable insights to help inform your decision alongside your healthcare team's guidance.

I had edema that was quite viscous. Manual lymphatic therapy/massage proved ineffective. However, Assisted Lymphatic Therapy (using cylindrical bulbs filled with electrostatically charged inert gases) did work. It reduced my edema by about 1 lb per session

I just attended a session at my local cancer center on lymphatic treatments. I've asked my primary for a referral to a CLT - certified lymphatic therapist. I have "stage 1" lymphedema (self diagnosed but primary acknowledged it possinly is) and want to get a handle on it before it worsens. Surgery 7 weeks ago to remove lower left lobe and 25 lymph nodes
