Day 5 of Tagrisso was miserable. Nausea and stomach pain all day, but able to eat and drink in spite of it. Now I am itchy all over and see lots of red bumps popping up, I do not know if I will want to keep taking this drug that 2 oncologists told me had minimal and manageable side effects.

Skin reactions like itching and rashes can occur with Tagrisso, and these symptoms are definitely worth discussing with your care team, especially when they're affecting your quality of life. Many patients in this community have navigated similar side effects, and your oncologist may be able to suggest management strategies or adjustments to help make treatment more tolerable.

I hope you're able to work that out or find another option. It's miserable. I was given carboplatin and paclitaxel weekly for 6 weeks along with radiation daily. I'm now on durvalumab (imfinzi) immunotherapy monthly for a year, 3 down, 9 to go. Haven't had serious problems. My first "let's see where we're at" pet scan is Monday morning!

I'm sorry that you're experiencing those side effects. I've been on Tagrisso for 51/2 years and I understand completely. As for me, I didn't have any nausea or stomach pain. The pimples with pulse on face and arms and initial fatigue. Dermatologist helped. Otherwise, it has served its purpose. Still taking it today with chemo. Blessings ❤️ !
