2 days agoI have stage 0 bladder cancer and have been learning about BCG immunotherapy. It is placed directly into the bladder through a catheter and helps the immune system find and destroy cancer cells. I understand it is sometimes considered after the tumor is removed (TURBT) to lower the chance of the cancer coming back. I'd love to hear from others with a similar diagnosis about your experiences. - If you had BCG after TURBT, what was the process like for you from start to finish? - If you chose surveillance or another option, what was that experience like?

2 days agoStarting a conversation about BCG immunotherapy after TURBT can help anyone newly diagnosed with bladder cancer feel less alone, and this community is a good place to hear from others about the process, from the first treatment to follow-up visits. Members who have had BCG or chose surveillance may share what it was like, and it can help to write down questions about side effects, schedules, and options to bring to the care team, who can explain what fits an individual diagnosis.
