Undifferentiated carcinoma NST refers to breast cancer cells that don't look like normal breast tissue cells and don't fit into the more common categories - NST stands for "No Special Type," which was previously called "invasive ductal carcinoma." This can feel overwhelming to receive as an initial diagnosis, and it's completely natural to want more information about what this means for treatment options and next steps. Many community members have found it helpful to write down questions before meeting with the oncology team to discuss the full pathology report and develop a personalized treatment plan.
