2 years agoI was just recently diagnosed with breast cancer in both breasts from my yearly mammogram stage 1 .. I have 3 small tumors in the left breast ductal and lobular in the right also small in size.. I was told it is unusual to have two different breast cancers in two different breasts . This was all confirmed with a core needle biopsy after an MRI as well so I feel between the initial mammogram, the MRI the Core Needle .. it’s what it is .. I was told the left breast had to be removed and I could do a lumpectomy on the other I am choosing to take the left as well .. surgery will be February 5 th at present there is no cancer showing in the lymph nodes.. but they will be removing some sentinel nodes during the mastectomy surgery I also am having reconstruction at the same time. What is stressing me out is the fact I will not truly know my course of treatment until the pathology report comes back on the sentinel nodes.. it just seems you are going to do something so major and yet there is so much unknown till you get there.. has anyone else taken this type of path with the unknown course of treatment till after this major surgery?

The uncertainty between diagnosis and final pathology results is one of the most challenging aspects many patients face in their cancer journey. This waiting period, especially when major decisions need to be made before having all the information, creates understandable stress and anxiety. Many others in this community have walked this same path of moving forward with surgery while treatment plans remain uncertain, and connecting with their experiences here can provide valuable perspective and support during this difficult time.

6 months agoYour story is exactly like mine, but I chose to go alternative medicine no chemo and radiation. No mastectomy no pills. I have Partial mastectomy, and Started alternative medicine Integrative functional doctor. And changed diet. Don’t make such a rash decisions. Please get a second opinion before you take your take your breast off. Having reconstruction with implants, put in because a whole Nother set of problems and a whole, another side of illness. Find yourself and functional doctor That will find you a Integrative oncologist and go from there you have time I have the same stage as you almost the same exact story, except mines a little bit worse misdiagnosis.
