2 years ago14cm area of dcis on mri. Is pet scan done to see if invasive?
Accepted Answer
PET scans are typically not the standard imaging used to determine if DCIS has invasive components, as other imaging methods and tissue sampling are usually more appropriate for this evaluation. Your medical team will guide you through the best diagnostic approach for your specific situation, and it's completely understandable to have questions about the next steps in your care process.
