a year agoHas anyone been diagnosed with Metaplastic Carcinoma? It is very rare. Only 1 % of cases.
Accepted Answer
This diagnosis can feel overwhelming, especially when learning about how uncommon it is. Many community members have found comfort in connecting with others who share similar experiences, even with rare diagnoses. Consider sharing more about your journey when you feel ready - others here understand the unique challenges that come with navigating less common breast cancer types and may have valuable insights to offer.

9 months agoYes I was just diagnosed (in May). 5mm spot and none found in lymph nodes. Was unexpected as my mastectomy was preventative for a PTEN gene mutation.

9 months agoThis is my second bout with breast cancer - both different kinds. Beat it the 1st time and will beat it this time. Had a double mastectomy in February and have started chemo on May 1st. Been hard to do chemo, as my blood counts have been all over the place. Will do 4 rounds of chemo 3 weeks apart - depending on blood counts. Have done 2 and will do another one this Thursday. God willing. And 1 more to complete the first round. Then I will do 12 weeks of Taxol to finish out my regimen. Then I will see a radiation Oncologist for further followup. Hang in there - we are stronger than we think. Don't give up.
