10 days agoOMG I thought I was tough. I have been good since my diagnosis which was 3 days ago. On my way to meet my surgeon and all of a sudden I'm nervous scared and feeling sick to my stomach. I dont know what to expect and im having all kinds of small melt downs

10 days agoFeeling nervous before meeting your surgeon is completely normal, especially just three days after receiving such overwhelming news. Many people find it helpful to write down questions beforehand, practice deep breathing techniques, or bring a trusted friend or family member for support during the appointment. Remember that your surgical team wants to help you understand your options and create the best plan for your situation, so don't hesitate to ask them to explain anything that feels unclear.

7 days ago@Latoya you’re not alone and we are tough! I saw my results in an online portal on Friday morning. I still haven’t heard from my doctor, so I called there. Waiting for her to call me back this afternoon. I’m the one usually holding others together but not these past few days. We’re allowed to be human and vulnerable.

3 days agoSame here, 2 years ago. Don’t think too far ahead, take one step at a time, take someone with you to appointments if possible.
