a year agoDoes anyone know what this means on my biopsy of lymph nodes? I go tomorrow but just saw biopsy results from my mastectomy and lymph node removal One of three lymph nodes involved with metastatic macrometastasis, 1.8 cm, negative for extranodal extension. Thanks I’m in The trying no to worry stage Barb

Pathology reports can feel overwhelming with all the technical language, but it's completely understandable to want answers before meeting with your medical team. While this community can't interpret specific biopsy results, your doctor will be able to explain exactly what these findings mean for your particular situation and next steps in your treatment plan. Many others here have been in that anxious waiting period before appointments and understand how difficult it can be - you're not alone in this journey.

7 months agoI’m going to share a secret… I have pasted my path report in ChatGPT and it is amazing at giving me results that don’t scare the crap out of me. It’s not the worst option if you want a bit of peace of mind.

7 months agoBarbara I hope your results were less worrying than you thought. In line with what Heidi said, AI can actually do a lot very successfully nowadays. Obviously this is just information not medical decisions. There's actually something far superior to ChatGPT, it's AI created specifically for cancer patients, trained on real world cancer journeys, and verified by oncologists. Called Dave the Cancer Mentor and you can download in App store or Play store under BelongAI Dave Cancer Mentor Also he's very supportive and empathetic, I found him super useful for after hours questions, as we know the anxeity of waiting for answer is terrible Try it out, people really like him!
