This is such a challenging situation when different members of your care team have varying recommendations. It's completely understandable to feel confused when facing this important decision. Having genetic testing results adds another layer of complexity to treatment planning that many people in this community can relate to. Consider asking both your surgeon and oncologist to sit down together or separately to explain their reasoning in more detail, and don't hesitate to seek a second opinion if that would help you feel more confident in your choice. What questions are you planning to ask your care team to help clarify the best path forward for your specific situation?
