Is MD Anderson worth the long drive for breast cancer treatment?

Hi Deserie, I think choosing one over the others is based on personal preference. We would all want the best of the best, but driving 4 hours each way can be a huge burden, depending on your treatment plan. I personally did not give much thought into it. I chose the hospital affiliated with my obgyn, which is closest to me. I would've looked into more prominent places if I needed a second opinion or if I felt that the doctors and staff were not professional enough with the process.

You will need to be air lifted and flown to Houston or Miami driving is not going to work

I also was seen at Memorial Sloan Kettering which is no slouch

My surgeon was trained by Memorial Sloan Kettering that has given me confidence in her ability

So many people who are employed at The University of Miami have said that they would trust Dr.Rojas with the life of their sisters

I love Dr Rojas is in incredible and has a good compassion

MSK have a accommodation for out of state patients i was just their they have this shuttle service that drop them of the place after treatment.

My Dr. at UM is Dr.Perez she is fabulous. I’ve been with her for almost 14 yrs. She too is one of the best there. I hope u choose wisely! Mary
