a year agoHello, I’m triple a positive . Had cancer on my other breast 14 yrs ago with mastectomy and tch chemo regimen after . Permanent alopecia hair loss. I have it again on my other breast. Stage2 grade2 options are chemo then surgery then more chemo. Or surgery which I’m opting for mastectomy and then chemo. I just don’t know which way to start the process . Any suggestions are appreciated.

Facing treatment decisions for a second breast cancer diagnosis brings unique challenges that deserve careful consideration with your medical team. Many patients in similar situations find it helpful to discuss the pros and cons of neoadjuvant versus adjuvant approaches with their oncologist, considering factors like tumor characteristics and personal preferences. The community here understands the weight of these decisions and can offer valuable insights from their own experiences with different treatment sequences.

6 months agoI am in the same boat. I get my pet scan and brain mri back Thursday. I just want to get a double mastectomy and get them off. I don't know my stages yet. The surgeon who did my biopsies miss diagnosed me. I was reading everything and everyone said know your pathology report every thing was negative so I called the Dr office and said to the nurse hey I have been doing my research and it looks like I'm TNBC and she said yes it looks like it. Yet she diagnosed me with invasive ductal carsenmo very common most women get this very curriable. So I went to the oncologist that she referred me too and I like him but can I trust him since she recommended him. Such a roller-coaster with emotions. I'm waiting for Thursday and see what I'm dealing with. My prayers go up for you and all our sisters and brothers dealing with this aweful disease 🙏 God Bless us All🙏🙏❤️
