The timing for starting breast cancer treatment can vary based on many factors, but healthcare teams generally work to begin treatment within a few weeks of diagnosis once staging is complete. While waiting for rescheduled appointments can feel overwhelming, taking the time needed for proper staging helps ensure the most effective treatment plan - and many patients in this community have shared similar experiences with appointment delays that didn't impact their outcomes.

Same. It seems like forever before they begin treatment. I’ve had the MRI and PET scan. I’m stage 3 HER2+ so chemo first before surgery . It’s a lot to process. I just want the breasts gone stat. Not even sure what to expect with chemo. Oncologists and port appointments get delayed. The waiting is killing me.
