I am a little stressed because live my daughter and don't want to be a burden. I have always been the one to take of the family. My grandsons are 6 and 3.I am 77 and enjoy having fun with them. We are homeschooling them. I know bad and good days. Pray they understand.

Your strength and faith are truly admirable as you navigate this challenging time while caring so deeply about your family's wellbeing. Many grandparents in similar situations find that accepting help from loved ones actually brings families closer together, and your grandsons will likely benefit from seeing resilience and love in action during treatment.

Kathryn sends you prayers for healing and speedy recovery. I had my lumpectomy surgery on April 30. My first chemotherapy treatment is on July 11.

Hey Kathryn, I had lumpectomy (6mm) on 6/12, and I was surprised that I had no pain. I didn’t go to work for 2 days plus weekend because of managing the drain, but otherwise I considered work. I have less energy, but I expected worse. Those little guys are a lot to keep up with, and I hope your experience is like mine and not too bad. I haven’t had chemo yet so I don’t know about that. I’m glad you’ve got your family around you.
