I have been diagnosed with IDC grade 2 er/pr+ HER2-. I have had a Lumpectomy and the sentinal nodes (2) removed. I am 11 days out of surgery and am experiencing very high (painful) sensitivity in the area where the blue dye was injected. The little bit of discoloration that remains is also very tough like a grapefruit skin, the parts where it was already absorbed is very, very sensitive to the touch. Anyone else have this?

This type of sensitivity and texture changes in the injection area can happen after sentinel node procedures, and you're not alone in experiencing these effects. Many community members have shared similar experiences during their recovery, so reaching out here is a great way to connect with others who understand what you're going through. While these sensations can be concerning, it's always best to keep your surgical team informed about any changes or discomfort you're experiencing so they can provide guidance specific to your healing process.
